The Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) is a metric for employee satisfaction. Staff are asked how likely they are to recommend their employer on a 0 to 10 scale, with the score calculated as promoters minus detractors.

Promoters (scores 9 and 10) minus detractors (scores 0 to 6), expressed as a percentage of all respondents. Example: 50 percent promoters minus 20 percent detractors equals an eNPS of +30.
Scores between 10 and 30 are solid, above 50 excellent. Sector variation is wide: tech firms often reach +40 to +60, NHS trusts and care providers often sit in low single digits or negative territory under workforce pressure.
