Is teamly GDPR-compliant, and why is it safer than WhatsApp groups?
teamly's data centres are ISO 27001 certified and all data is stored exclusively on servers in Germany. We sign a data-processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR. WhatsApp routes metadata through Meta's US data centres, a known Schrems-II risk that many data-protection officers have already flagged. With teamly your compliance team sleeps better.
How will our works council react to a staff app?
We provide a ready-to-use data-protection impact assessment (DPIA), a co-determination toolkit, and discussion guides for the works council meeting. Over 90 % of our rollouts receive approval within 4 weeks. On request, your works council and DPO get full access to the data architecture.
How much effort is the rollout, do we need our own IT staff?

Yes. We synchronise shift schedules and master data with common HR systems, including Personio, SAP SuccessFactors and DATEV. No double-maintenance: your HR system stays the leading system; teamly is the communication layer on top. We set up the connector, your IT team doesn't need to get involved.
How flexible are the contract terms, can we cancel if teamly isn't a fit?
Honest answer: our customer-retention rate is above 97 %, because ROI becomes visible early. But we understand the concern. We can't offer a free trial because every company gets its own dedicated app. Instead we show you a live demo with real data and connect you with reference customers beforehand. The minimum term is 24 months, then renews by 12 months, with 3 months' notice. When customers leave it's usually due to a company sale or strategic pivot, not dissatisfaction.
