Methodology

How the savings are calculated

Transparency instead of a black box. Here you see the four levers and the sources.

01

Working time freed up in operational teams

BCG reports a time gain of 15 to 30 minutes per week per employee. The calculator counts only 2.5 to 5 minutes of that, the share that can genuinely be redeployed as working time. Care and construction sit at the top (handovers, documentation, timesheets), production at the bottom. It uses 44 working weeks, not 52. The multiplier for the current main channel (WhatsApp/email/notice board) applies on top. Source: BCG Deskless Workforce Report 2024.

02

Relief in HR and administration

22 minutes per 100 employees per working day through digital timesheets, automatic sick notes, mobile knowledge search and fewer employee inquiries. Valued at the normal hourly rate, with no HR premium. Source: CIPD HR benchmarks 2026.

03

Paper and printing costs

EUR 4 per employee per year. Payslips, notices, training materials, employee handbooks. A restrained value, higher in many companies. Source: Bitkom study "Digitalization in mid-sized companies 2025".

04

Faster onboarding

One working day faster to productivity per new hire through digital preboarding and a structured first 90 days. At a 15 percent hiring rate and 8-hour working days. Source: German Association of Personnel Managers (BPM) Onboarding Study 2024.

What is deliberately not included: A better information culture, faster alignment and stronger employee retention can add further positive effects. Because these differ from company to company, they are deliberately left out of the calculation. The calculator shows only the savings potential, no prices and no investment costs. teamly's license costs depend on the number of employees, modules and configuration and are discussed individually in the demo call.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the savings calculator

What IT leadership, CFOs and HR ask most often about the calculation.

How realistic are the values in the teamly savings calculator?
Deliberately restrained. The assumptions are based on public studies (BCG Deskless Workforce Report 2024, CIPD HR benchmarks) and on real teamly customer cases in mid-sized companies. For time gained in operational teams, BCG reports 15 to 30 minutes per employee per week. The calculator counts only 2.5 to 5 minutes of that, the share that can genuinely be redeployed as working time. It also uses 44 working weeks instead of 52.
Which savings does the savings calculator account for?
Four levers: working time freed up in operational teams through better access to information, administrative time in HR and the personnel office (digital timesheets, sick notes, knowledge search), paper and printing costs (payslips, notices, training material) and faster onboarding of new employees. A better information culture, faster alignment and stronger retention are deliberately left out, because they cannot be quantified across the board.
What does teamly actually cost?
License costs depend on the number of employees, industry, modules and white-labeling. The calculator shows only the savings potential, no prices, packages or setup costs. In the 30-minute demo you receive a concrete, personalized quote with the exact costs for your company.
Which study sources underpin the assumptions?
BCG Deskless Workforce Report 2024 (time gained in operational teams), CIPD HR benchmarks 2026 (administrative effort), the German Association of Personnel Managers (Onboarding Study 2024) and several ANACT/QVCT reports on administrative effort in mid-sized companies. From every source we take the lower end.
Personal. Direct. No script.
