Reality in Catering

Where the daily grind breaks down

Everyone in Catering knows these problems, and none of them has a good answer as long as communication stays analogue.

01

Service crews often only learn where they are needed at short notice

Address, directions, arrival time, dress code, special requests. This information has to arrive reliably, not through scattered WhatsApp messages.

02

The allergen list per event must be centrally available

Clients state allergen requests, the kitchen prepares accordingly, service has to know. Spread across notes, it goes wrong.

03

HACCP for mobile catering hard to document

Checking temperatures at the venue, cleaning logs, a hygiene briefing per event. On paper at the venue, this is rarely consistent.

04

A highly fluctuating pool of temp staff

Wedding service changes almost weekly. Onboarding new temps has to be fast, structured and fully documented.

teamly for Catering

What teamly solves

What this is about every day: Event, venue, mise en place, allergens, service crew.

A catering crew sets a long banquet table with glasses and plates in a hall; a staff member in the foreground reads the running order on her smartphone.
A server reads the new daily menu on her smartphone before the restaurant opens

Event briefings in advance

Address, arrival time, dress code and special requests per event as a compact briefing card on the smartphone.

A head chef shows a server a roster change on his smartphone at the pass

Allergens and menu structure

Stored per event, with a read receipt from the service crew. The kitchen sees the same status.

A new seasonal employee is trained in the restaurant by a colleague with a tablet

Mobile HACCP documentation

Check and log temperatures on site, complete cleaning logs on mobile. Archived in an audit-proof way.

A cook fills in an HACCP checklist on her smartphone in the kitchen, cold store behind her

Temp staff onboarding

A pre-boarding flow for new temps, with training videos, HACCP basics and standard briefings.

A kitchen team reads a hygiene instruction together on a tablet

Works offline

There is no reception everywhere at the venue. teamly stores offline and syncs at the next reception.

A head chef discusses the service routine with three team members at the pass

GDPR and temp staff management

A clean DPA, phone-number login for temps, no Microsoft license needed.

FAQ

Common questions for Catering

What management, department heads and IT in this industry ask most often.

Can we customise the branding per event?
The app identity stays yours. Per event you can use layout templates for briefings, with images and directions.
How quickly is a catering company with 30 permanent and 100 temp staff rolled out?
6 to 10 weeks for the permanent staff, while we roll out the temp staff onboarding in parallel. Important: structure the temp pool cleanly before go-live.
Can the client see who is at the event?
By default no, teamly is an internal employee app. Optionally, light channels for the organiser with live status (crew on site, preparation, service) are possible.
Personal. Direct. No script.
